Biosphere Keos is a comprehensive creative project of KEOS CULTURE which is implemented by the Municipality of Kea. Its main activity is the organization and curation of exhibits on the cultural and natural heritage of the island.
Η προσπάθεια για τη δημιουργία της Φωτοθήκης του Δήμου Κέας άρχισε τον Ιανουάριο του 2019. Μετά από αναγγελία στην ιστοσελίδα του Δήμου, τη διάδοση μέσα από τα κοινωνικά δίκτυα, την έρευνα σε φωτογραφικά αρχεία μουσείων, σε προσωπικές και οικογενειακές συλλογές συγκεντρώθηκαν οι πρώτες φωτογραφίες.
Από αυτές επιλέχθηκαν περίπου 500 φωτογραφίες, οι οποίες εκτέθηκαν στην έκθεση Βιόσφαιρα “Φωτογραφικά τεκμήρια Κέας”, που πραγματοποιήθηκε από την 1η έως τις 25 Αυγούστου 2019 στο Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Κέας, στο Ιστορικό Δημαρχείο Ιουλίδας και στο Πνευματικό Κέντρο Κορησσίας "Στυλιανός Ρέστης".
Work on the creation of the Municipality Photo Archive Library began in January 2019. Through announcements on the Municipality’s website, social media outreach, research conducted in several museums’ archives as well as generous offers from family and personal collections, the first photos were collected.
From these, approximately 500 were selected for the exhibition Biosphere Keos “Photographic Evidence of Kea”, which took place from August 1st through August 25th, 2019, in three locations on the island: The Archeological Museum of Kea, the Historical Town Hall of Ioulida and the Cultural Center Stilianos Restis in Korissia.
